For password information contact the Learning Commons Creative Commons- searchable picture database with copyright free images. keyboarding program for 3rd and 4th graders. Each student has individual log in.

Keyboarding Games- Different activities to help with typing practice.

ABCYA -  free educational kids computer games and activities for elementary students to learn on the web.

Trueflix- Online literacy resource that pairs classic video storybooks with related nonfiction ebooks. This site contains ebooks on science and social studies subjects. Please ask your Library Media Specialist for the username and password to login.

BookFlixBookflix—This is an online resource that pairs fiction books with nonfiction books.  This site includes Weston Woods video storybooks.  Several activities for these books are also available.

TumbleBooks—This site is an online resource of animated, talking picture books.  These electronic books can be read or the computer will read the story to you.  Besides the books there are also a number of activities for each book.

Raz-Kids - Online leveled books K-6 Reading - Facts4Me is an online reference tool for primary readers of English - Reading resource: read-alongs, poetry, fluency

Britannica School Edition
Encyclopedia Britannica Online —This is an online encyclopedia available on three levels—Elementary, Middle, and High School.  There are many extras, for example, recommended websites for each topic and Britannica Learning Zone for younger children.

—Massive resource of databases includes such sites as:  Kid Search, Student Research Center, Book Collection Nonfiction Elementary School Edition, and Primary Search.

SearchasaurusSearchasaurus (powered by EBSCO Host) is an exciting and easy way for young researchers to experience online searching.  Searchasaurus offers Lexile limiters (reading level), making it easy for students to read and research only appropriately challenging materials.

KidsInfoBits  Kids InfoBits -- Features a developmentally appropriate and graphic interface, a subject-based topic tree search and full-text, age-appropriate curriculum-related magazine and reference content.

Study Island—This is a site where students can practice taking Missouri based standards assessments.  Students are encouraged with the option of playing games.

Students should have user name and password or can get them from their classroom teacher.

and BrainPopJr.—BrainPopJr. is geared for younger elementary students.  This site offers curriculum based videos and other activities.  These sites are only available during school hours.
